It acts as a cytokine involved in enhancing production of interferon-gamma and interleukin-12 and reducing production of interleukin-10 and is essential in the pathway that leads to type I immunity.

图像	Western blot analysis of SPP1 Antibody (C-term) (Cat. APR05768G) in NCI-H460 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). SPP1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab. Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human lung carcinoma with SPP1 Antibody (C-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. Flow cytometric analysis of NCI-H292 cells using SPP1 Antibody (C-term)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
