功能	Calcium-dependent lectin involved in innate immune defense. Binds mannose, fucose and N-acetylglucosamine on different microorganisms and activates the lectin complement pathway. Binds to late apoptotic cells, as well as to apoptotic blebs and to necrotic cells, but not to early apoptotic cells, facilitating their uptake by macrophages. May bind DNA.
总结	This gene encodes the soluble mannose-binding lectin ormannose-binding protein found in serum. The protein encoded belongsto the collectin family and is an important element in the innateimmune system. The protein recognizes mannose andN-acetylglucosamine on many microorganisms, and is capable ofactivating the classical complement pathway. Deficiencies of thisgene have been associated with susceptibility to autoimmune andinfectious diseases.
储存条件	Store at +4°C short term. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of MBL2 Antibody (C-term)( APR06937G) with A549 cell followed by Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green). DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).
