This gene encodes a nuclear protein that regulatestranscriptional elongation and pre-mRNA splicing. The encodedprotein interacts with the hyperphosphorylated C-terminal domain ofRNA polymerase II via multiple FF domains, and with the pre-mRNAsplicing factor SF1 via a WW domain. Alternative splicing resultsin multiple transcripts variants encoding different isoforms.
